Damascus
Road ministry teams exist to give individuals the opportunity to serve
God through Damascus Road while allowing them to plug into smaller groups
of people within our body to better build relationships. We believe
that taking an active role in ministry will help make anyone’s experience
at Damascus Road more meaningful and fulfilling. |

The prayer team is the foundation of our ministry. We
know we need to be constantly seeking the Lord and His will for Damascus
Road through prayer. This team prays weekly before Damascus Road and
hosts prayer nights throughout the year. Members of this team also are
available after Damascus Road to pray with individuals about personal issues
in their lives. We seek to be a body where individuals are renewed and
restored through the healing power of the Holy Spirit. Team Leaders: Jeff Stiles & Heather Shearman |

We believe that a spirit of genuine worship is
a distinctive of Damascus Road. We seek to be a place where individuals
are able drive out the distractions of the world and commune with God.
We seek after that communion by worshipping the Lord through music,
the reading and teaching of His Word, and prayer. (Our worship and prayer
team work closely together.) This team is not just made up of musicians,
vocalist and the people who support our worship experience technologically.
If worship is a passion of yours, but you don’t play an instrument,
sing, or know how to work a computer- this still could be the team for
you- so talk to a team leader. Team Leaders: Kurt Bethel & Carey Zeigler |

This team is responsible for Damascus Road’s outward
focus. They provide opportunities for the body of Damascus Road to serve
others in the community and in the greater body of Greentree. Service
projects in the past have included participating in inner city ministry
with New City Fellowship, partnering with Greentree’s deacons in building
projects, cleaning and yard work for the sick and widowed as well as
a summer mission trip to Mexico to build a home. This team is also responsible
for encouraging Damascus Road to be reaching out to non-Christian individuals
with the love of Christ. We seek to always be a witness of the love,
grace, and mercy that Christ has shown to us and we desire to share
that gift in very tangible way of serving others. Team Leaders: Lindsey Merrill & Liz Forsythe |

We love new people!! So much so that we created
a team specifically designed to welcome them and to make sure they find
ways to get plugged in. Our hospitality and activities team runs our
welcome table, participates in our monthly new people desserts, and
plans social activities so that Damascus Road is constantly mixing the new
people in with the old. Damascus Road puts great importance on our core
value of spiritual family and we want that family to always be growing
as God continues to bring people into our body. Team Leaders: Jim Roach, Amy Dismuke & JD Wylie |

This team is for individuals who may already have
their ministry plate full but would still like to help out a little
at Damascus Road. The commitment is to help clean Duffy’s one designated Sunday
a month and to be a possible resource for other needs that may arise
within Damascus Road. We hope this team will provide an opportunity for those
individuals who are serving elsewhere to still meet people in a smaller
setting to help build relationships. Team Leader: Deana Vandegriff |
